Presbyterian Men

Ned Kraft

MISSION STATEMENT – To lead Presbyterian Men into a vital relationship with Jesus Christ and to assist in their spiritual, personal and community development.

The Presbyterian Men's group is open to all the men.  If you would like to get more involved in activities, enjoy the fellowship, and enjoy eating out together, then please join us at our monthly meeting, or at our weekly lunch or at our monthly breakfast.
Together we can grow in Faith, serve with Hope, and share God's Love.

We are continuing our fund raising to help homeless Veterans in Western NC.  You can make a donation at any time, if using a check make it out to FNCPM.

Our monthly meetings are on the first Monday of the month and coincide with the Ruth's Circle meeting. The women have changed their meeting time to 5:30 pm. Our monthly meetings will now be at 5:30 pm as several of the wivesand husbands ride together.

We glorify God thru Christian fellowship and our annual fund raiser for homeless veterans is the hallmark of who we are and what we do. In addition to this effort we do a lot of  things year round that you will find fun and interesting.  All our activities are voluntary and take into account that you may have a busy life and don’t want to be tied down to a constant responsibility. Participation is totally up to you depending on your schedule. Our members "plug in” to help where they can.

We would like to invite any of our men to join our group. We have one regular meeting once a month on the “First Monday" in Tartan Hall.

Contact Ned Kraft 828-369-0768 or email:, if you are interested.

 Homeless Veterans

We are continuing our fundraising efforts to help homeless veterans in Western North Carolina. We had a booth at the Taste of Scotland Festival on June 16th, and, through the generosity of many people, we collected $765.00. My thanks to all of you who helped man the booth. The next event will be the Pumpkin Festival in downtown Franklin on October 20th, 2018.

At the June Franklin Town Council meeting, we proposed that the Town of Franklin approve a Proclamation that the week of September 9-15, 2018, be set aside as a week of support for our homeless veterans. The Town Council did approve the Proclamation. We will kick off this special week with a lunch after our church service. Additional ways to help homeless veterans that week will be in a future issue of the First Word.

The Presbyterian Men's Group placed 62 donation containers in many business' in Franklin and Macon Co. to help with the fund raising efforts of the group. They will be picked up on 17 - 18 Sept.

 It’s a great time  . . .

to be a part of the Presbyterian Men’s group at FPC!
